Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
By using DomainSifter (“the service”, “the site”), you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English on purpose.
What DomainSifter is
DomainSifter publishes a daily-curated list of recently-expired domain names that appear to be available for registration. We filter out spam, malware, gibberish, and known abuse signals before publishing.
What we don't guarantee
Availability. We verify availability via RDAP at the moment we publish the list, but the actual availability of any specific domain can change between the moment we check and the moment you try to register it. A domain shown on our list may already be registered by someone else by the time you click through to a registrar.
Quality or value. We filter for spam and abuse, but we don't guarantee any domain on our list has commercial value, isn't trademarked, doesn't have a legal history, or won't have problems after registration. Do your own due diligence before purchasing.
Legal cleanliness. Some expired domains have legal history we can't detect (UDRP disputes, trademark conflicts, defamation history). We don't research individual domains for legal issues. If you register a domain that turns out to have legal problems, that's on you.
Continuous availability. We try to publish daily but make no uptime guarantee. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to technical issues.
Affiliate disclosure
When you click “Register” links on the site, you're taken to third-party domain registrars (Namecheap, NameSilo, Dynadot). We earn a commission when you register a domain via these links. This commission doesn't affect the price you pay — it's paid by the registrar from their margin.
This means DomainSifter has a financial interest in users registering domains via our links. The list itself is filtered honestly regardless of which registrars we have affiliate relationships with — we don't prioritize or hide domains based on commission rates.
Acceptable use
You may use DomainSifter freely for personal or commercial domain research. You may NOT:
- Scrape the site at high frequency or in ways that disrupt service
- Republish our daily list as your own without attribution
- Use the service for any illegal purpose
We reserve the right to block access to anyone violating these rules.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of DomainSifter is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes (but is not limited to) financial loss from unavailable domains, legal issues with registered domains, or business decisions based on data shown on the site.
If you registered a domain via our links and it turned out to have problems, your recourse is with the domain registrar (where you paid for the domain) and any relevant legal body — not with DomainSifter.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Estonian law. Any disputes will be resolved in Estonian courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated via the newsletter to existing subscribers.
